Think Faest! The Fast Aesthetic... Since its inception in 2001, Faesthetic has grown from a photocopied zine into a high-quality 160 page annual with international participation and readership. The Faesthetic aim remains the same: to provide an affordable, accessible showcase for some of the best creativity the world has to offer. Rather than focusing on corporate tie-ins, we focus on quality content. Faesthetic is ad free. We've been honored to work with some of our art heroes over the years, and just as honored to be able to help talented newcomers get some of their first exposure alongside established contributors. An art resource In addition to publishing the magazine, Faesthetic brings artists together to offer them a collective voice. In 2002 Faesthetic teamed up with 55dsl to showcase 100 artists for a show called "8.5 x 11." The show featured black and white art all on 8.5" x 11" paper. In 2004 Faesthetic, with Clamor magazine, created a series of anti-war posters featuring works from Shepard Fairey, Cody Hudson, Kozy-n-Dan & Faile. On March 2nd, 2005 Faesthetic presented "Accident Happy," at Alfred University in New York. Visit AccidentHappy.com for more information about the exhibit. Faesthetic collaborated with Jeremyville.com to bring custom satchels to the Semi-Permanent conference in 2005. In Oct, 2006 Faesthetic teamed up with Threadless.com to offer 4 Faesthetic curated "Select" t-shirts bundled a free copy of Faesthetic #6. Look for more Faesthetic-curated events & projects in the near future! We have amazing new projects in the works... |
